The antispam module is turned on by default, and cannot be turned off. When HAL detects a spammer in your Telegram group, whether they are already known to be one or not, they are immediately banned.

Sometimes, spam slips through the cracks, and spammers post it over and over again. Dedupe helps alleviate this by preventing duplicates within a certain amount of time. It also helps keep your group clean and tidy.

HAL can keep your group neat and tidy by removing service messages and commands sent to any bot on the fly. For commands, they’re always processed, but it’s usually helpful to remove them on sight.

Designed for public and privatte groups that are connected to public channels for the purposes of discussion threads, comment moderation allows you to enforce some rules for how subscribers and members may post.

Sometimes, you just want to disable certain things from being sent to your group. Chat Locks does exactly this, and no more.

If members are granted the permission to invite others, which is a good thing in growing communities, they are also able to add potentially-malicious bots. Turn on HAL’s bot-blocker, and they will be removed.

Watchdog keeps an eye on new users and applies certain rule- and time-based restrictions to their membership in your group. It also helps prevent some userbots with ill-intent from joining your group.

If you want to prevent spammers from joining your group, you can setup a channel that acts as a gateway to it. This gateway contains a button that makes the user complete a captcha, and then gives them a dedicated invite link.

Flooding involves the mass-posting of often-similar content into your group, and this is usually a spam-indicator. Antiflood prevents this, and can be configured to prevent floods based on either consecutive messages or time windows.
